If you were to ask my friends to describe me in three words, they would say; bubbly, thoughtful and caring. No doubt I have always had a heart for people - especially the health and wellbeing of every individual. That is why when I started Jayteehair, I decided I wanted to donate a portion of profits to organisations that provide medical healthcare all around the world.

Here are some of my love stories:

Shadow on Concrete Wall

2021 Donation

What a crazy year it's been with the ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions here in Victoria! I often reflect on our circumstances here in Australia and think how blessed we are to live in such a safe and beautiful country where COVID-19 has been managed so well.

Unfortunately, it isn't the same in other countries where access to healthcare isn't as easy as it is here in Australia. Which brings me to the organisation we have chosen to donate with this year:

I am so proud to let you know that this year, Jayteehair was able to donate with UNICEF to support their India COVID-19 Crisis Appeal. Here's how our donation will help:

  • Increase access to life-saving oxygen by delivering Oxygen Genration Plants to hospitals to treat severe and critical COVID-19 cases

  • Provide rapid, accurate testing machines in some of the most affected districts

  • Support the ongoing distribution of COVID-19 vaccines through the UNICEF-supported COVAX initiative

Because of your support in choosing Jayteehair as your hairstylist for your wedding or event, we have been able to make a generous donation towards this appeal. So I want to take this time to thank you for choosing Jayteehair. This donation truly would not have been possible without you.

Pink For October

In October 2020, I was on a mission to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

I handmade a whole lot of scrunchies and sold them to whoever would purchase them. 50% of the proceeds was donated to NBCF and thanks to everyone who made a purchase, the NBCF is one step closer to achieving their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

This was such a fun and reward project for me and no doubt, I will be bringing back the scrunchies and doing this again in October 2021.

I made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for a child who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I chopped off approx 17" on May 15th 2020.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Donating My Hair

Annual Donation

In 2020, I chose to donate with Compassion in their COVID-19 Appeal.

This will help protect vulnerable children around the world from the devastation of the coronavirus pandemic.
